About the PFO
(Parent Faculty Organization)
this is your organization...
The Cherokee Heights Middle School PFO is a volunteer-led, nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization. All members of the school community are welcome in the PFO, including parents, faculty, guardians, students, and neighbors.
The CHMS PFO meets the second Monday of every month virtually using Microsoft Teams. Contact cherokeemspto@gmail.com for the link. There's no need to attend meetings to get involved. We all know that life is busy so we want you to be involved in our school community in a way that is meaningful and well-balanced for your family. It all matters! We want your experience in this community to feel good for everyone.
Examples of CHMS PFO efforts include:
teacher appreciation events
dine to donate at restaurants like Chipotle, Culvers, Texas Roadhouse, etc.
event coordination for yearly Cougar Crawl fun run in October
fundraising for classroom and school projects
supporting social worker led efforts for emergent needs
flower and candy bouquet sales at choir, band, orchestra, and 8th grade promotion events
No matter your interests, time, or talents, there's a place for you in the PFO.
